Part of growing up is learning how to deal with hardships, but the tricky part is finding coping strategies that are beneficial and not self-destructive. For me, I found comfort in urban exploring. Not only is it rewarding to find these hidden treasures, but there’s something that’s so familiar about them. I found a parallel between the relationships in my life and these forgotten relics - always wondering what happened to bring us to this point.

Something that once stood so stoically is now stripped of its superficial layers and baring its bones to the world. At first glance, one can only see tragedy. However, once the pain is embraced, we can come to appreciate the beauty and memories that these places still hold. Even through the decay, new life begins to grow.
