Mission Statement is a multimedia platform documenting and defining the cutting edge of youth culture in digital formats and a bi-annual print magazine. Embracing the fluidity of identity, genre and boundaries that Gen-Z want, whilst exploring and investigating topics and dialectics spanning the broad spectrum of the modern cultural and socio-political landscape; This is a platform for the contemporary, eclectic, and discerning individual. The individual who choses to critically engage with the most urgent and of the moment content across art, fashion, beauty, wellness, diversity, culture and humanities, expressing themselves through words, photos, arts and videos.
Issue #002 is centred around the thematic exploration of what the notion of “Home” means in a modern context. As a new generation, we are growing up in an environment where ideas of identity and belonging are constantly shifting and evolving. The idea of home also takes many forms; where you live, where you come from, your heritage, your nationality, your identity, your sense of spiritual, emotional and physical belonging.
