BINADW is the worlds only print magazine dedicated to Butches.
We print photographs and tell the stories of a diverse range of butch identifying folks from all over the globe.
Each issue focuses thematically on a different topic, from love & sex, family, work, intergenerational stories and beyond. The publication started in Melbourne, Australia and has since grown to be an international sensation.
Since issue one, we have photographed over 100 butches from over 12 countries all over the world. In the age of rapidly disposable content, the internet is too fickle to for the stories of these beautiful butches whom each share some of their most vulnerable, authentic and intimate, thoughts, feelings and experiences with us, the internet does not to them justice. Additionally making these stories so public could potentially open these queer folks up to a tirade of online abuse, which, we do not want and they do not deserve. Thus, whilst print is ridiculously expensive, it is worth it to make this media accessible to the queer community.
BINADW is a not-for-profit project. All revenue goes directly back into supporting the magazine and the queer community.
